As I mentioned earlier, present White House Executive Chef Cristeta Comerford may be the next casualty of the change in administration and may indeed be replaced faster than you can say “Good riddance, Bush!”. Now it appears we may have the names of her replacement!
(more after the jump)
Without citing any sources, NY Daily News is alleging that Chefs Art Smith, Rick Bayless and Daniel Young are in the running to be Comerford’s replacement:
Though the Obama camp says that no decisions have been made yet about who will occupy the kitchen at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., three top chefs have emerged as possible presidential cooking contenders.
Check out the article itself for a profile of this rather short list of alleged CHEFtestants. The folks over at Serious Eats have their money on Chef Art Smith, who happens to have been Oprah’s personal chef for the past two decades. Hopefully the Big O knows someone on her staff may be jumping ship!!
