Hell’s Kitchen: Things I Learned

Sadly, I don’t learn too much in the culinary sense when I watch Fox’s Hell’s Kitchen. But, that’s not why you watch this show….. right? Nevertheless, the morsels I do learn can be just as tasty!

Ok. This explains the eyebrows.

#1: Louross Becomes a Filipino Nun When He’s Angry

After losing the pizza challenge to the girls, the boys were visibly distraught. When asked by Chef Ramsey whether or not he felt he was in a strong team, the 24 Year Old Las Vegas hotel cook, Louross, whimpered a teary “no” while donning his habit of anger.

#2: That High End Restaurants Deliver Pizza

In this episode, Chef Gordon Ramsey mentioned that his London restaurant serves a US$200 white truffle pizza. I wonder if they deliver it in this mobile gadget as well? At US$200, I want Chef Ramsey to deliver it himself!!

#3: That Non-Quitters Have To Quit Sometime

Ultimately, it was line cook Vanessa who voluntarily left Hell’s Kitchen due to a burn injury to her hand. Throughout the little vignette regarding her departure, she asserted emphatically that she was NOT a quitter. Well, funny thing…..

I know, I know. She’s hurt, right? Well, apparently she wasn’t injured enough to prevent her from getting all dressed up and traveling in a helicopter to Santa Barbara and then enjoying a Kobe beef burger with black truffle french fries.

Call me cynical, but perhaps the true reason why she left may be lying on the editing room floor.
